Hello, Friends. I didn’t have time to write up a long post for today. This week has been crazy at work and The Husband Dude and I are getting ready to go out of town to a Tattoo Convention. I’m hoping to write about that next week. THD is entering his sleeve in a couple of competitions on behalf of his tattoo artist, so I’ll let you know how it goes!
I did want to share this little moment I had this week, because it’s just pretty damned cool. I got to snuggle with a kangaroo!
His name is Irwin and he’s my new boyfriend.
His human Mama worked at my new job up until this week. She brought him up on one of her last days to visit us all, and I’m pretty sure I fell in love.
Irwin broke his neck when he was just a couple of weeks out of his kangaroo mama’s pouch. He was partially paralyzed but his human Mama nursed him back to health and here he is, kangaroo diaper and all!
I was a little hesitant about meeting a real kangaroo. I mean, let’s be honest. This is what I think of when I think of kangaroos:
But Irwin is a lover. He just wants you to scratch his chest and feed him treats.
You know. Like most men.
His mama told us that he is a “Great Red” who normally would grow to six feet tall and about 250 pounds, but because of his injury and getting neutered at a young age, he’s considerably smaller and more “house-friendly”.
If you want to follow Irwin on Facebook, here’s his Facebook page.
Meanwhile, I’m scratching “hug a kangaroo” off my bucket list.
Have a great weekend. Stay weird, my friends. Normal is boring!

Of course I’ve hugged a kangaroo today! Hasn’t everyone?
ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME! ONLY IN MY DREAMS!!!!! Hugging a kangaroo was not on my bucket list, but now it is! Awesome! Great pics! Irwin is such a cutie!
Also, are we going to get to see the THD’s sleeve? Not to be demanding or anything, (yes, yes I am and I’m not sorry), but I want pics and stories to go with the different tats! Anyway, “break ink” or whatever it is one says to not jinx the win at the competition this weekend!. Sounds like fun! Mona

October 28, 2018 at 3:28 pmI really think just SEEING a kangaroo up close and personal was on my bucket list, so thank you to the Bucket List gods for going above and beyond! 🙂

October 27, 2018 at 7:16 pmI still want to come and get that kangaroo and his diaper bag. I don’t even care if he did punch me.
Kat says
October 28, 2018 at 3:29 pmI think you should be more afraid of his mama. She’d punch you and you’d feel it. She carries him around like he weighs nothing and she’s very protective. LOL
